That's really my VIN, man. Ran right out to the truck and snapped the pic. Although now I.wish I would have grabbed one off something else.

Figured if it was that easy, id post mine since its an 87 as well.

And I refuse to deal at all with the Jeep stealership because they tried to play my wife like a fool.

By newbie your refering to me? Yes I am a little green in the jeep world but I've been built a few lifted and non lifted vehicles. A few street race cars and such. I've also managed to run down every vin I've ever owned including my 66 galaxie 500. Me saying they don't have it doesn't come from the dealership. That comes from the record keepers at crysler itself. So if you dealership absorbed the amc dealership next to it when they bought out that's awesome but the computer systems themselves were incompatible to cryslers so crysler supposedly didn't transfer the data

ya ya my bad. No I mean ME being the NEWBIE. I am brand new to jeep and went to the dealership and got robbed once or twice before I found this forum and all the helpful info.

I thought that since I was new that gee was playing a trick on me and giving me a VIN to a snow mobile or something. lol. I'm gonna stop at the stealership later today and see if they will pull the vin for me.

I really suck at typing. or just talkking in general. sorry for the mixup.

Lemme know when you do go. I've been watching this like a hawk since you posted.

Not to mention if you have success.the OP is prolly gonna race over to his stealership with a copy of this to make some stealership heads roll...

K they had it. Now u just have to find somewhere that has each code description. They said because of the year they can no longer store those descriptions which makes sense. So I guess we both win or both lose lol!

Let me know how it goes. I emailed you with a little bit of info I found (maybe) regarding your descriptions. Hope it helps.
