Have you took out the front drive shaft, and take it for a spin to see if it was the u-joints?

No we just had it up on the lift and put it in 4 wheel drive and 2wd but it wasnt laking any noise. Its only when it has a load on it i guess. But when i was leaving work yesterday there was a squeaking noise coming from the front as i move so thats the u joints. Its always something.

Its a whole lot different than my civic. That thing never needs anything. But the jeep has been in my family for like 15 years so i want to keep it for another 15. And none of the newer jeeps look anywhere as good as a lifted 95 cherokee ��

I wouldn't buy anything untill after the case is split. Take the front driveshaft out and twist the yoke at the TC to see how much slop is in the chain. Half quart low is pretty low they only hold a quart or so.
