Well I finally found my jaw after it hit the floor. I cant believe that thing is in EXSISTANCE ive never herd of that and I would sell both of my XJ's to fund a FULL nut and bolt restoration if it was mine...Hope that thing winds up in a museum...or my garage...lol jking ol'blue had it called way before I did.

While looking for other pictures of a Targa... I came across this and I thought it fit the title of this thread... What is this?
They call it a Targa as well..it looks like a CJ5 tub and it has a Nissan diesel. Looks very much like a Suzuki Samurai but you can see JEEP on the side.

just joined the forum.. anywho, that thing has ASC written all over it.. I see many of the same styling cues from the rag top dakota's now seeing as dodge dakota convertibles were ending their run in 90 (save for less than a handful of ones in 91 due to a contract error) it would make sense that this thing got a final rendition and release in 90.. I would venture to say there will be a American Sunroof Company tag somewhere on that rig... but what happened to that one.. I wanna know too...

Referring to the Cherokee Freedom Concept vehicle, I was one of those folks years ago and yes additional reinforcements were added. Chrysler even took bids from converters at the time to see if they wanted to do a run of them.
