i think i smoked my front drive shaft so pulled it out now im going to be driving it to see if the same clunk is there if so its not the shaft....the part of the shaft that slides into the the part that is attached to the axle has a ton of play and i think thats where a loud clunk is almost as if its binding up and releasing as i drive... im only hearing it when the jeep is accelerating or after i hit a hole...has this happened to anyone else if so can you pm me thanks

I did the extended idle or high idle mod. Works great.

Here you go. I give credit to Defiance665 for this. Its a good wright up. Although I used a SPDT switch. He used a SPST switch, witch is easier to use. A SPDT has 3 places to connect to and a SPST only has two to connect to. I had to do some searching on how to use the one I had. This is for a 97 + so if you have a older model you may have to do some more searching.

Thanks for giving me something for which to use this safety switch that I've had for years! As soon as I read this I went out and did it myself. Mine is a 2000 and it is the same grey wire on the second row at the end. Works great!
