THIS
picked up some Hella 500FF for $10 a pair at Walmart... I got 2 pair of them
so off with the cheap yet mighty Harbor Freight rectangle 55 watt lights (I was running 6 of them, lol)
decided that the light bar was going to be trouble when I smack a branch.. I plan to reuse the old lights as rear and rock lights...
so I welded some mounting tabs to the front bumper. and also cleaned up the sides and did a little bed liner work
I mounted them in a way that they are still semi protected, yet not blocking the radiator flow, also it gave me an excuse to use bed liner on the bumper... I would say as far as stock bumpers go it is pretty darn slick

Changed the water pump that was starting to go bad. Last week the radiator needed replacing. I hope this is it for a while. All these little repairs are eating into the money I had set aside for my lift kit.

Made myself and awesome oil container! My buddy works at a Lexus dealership an all of their detailing chemicals come in 5 gallon containers. He gave me an empty one and this is it. Since it's empty, dunno if itll be for oil or maybe even act as a Jerry can (dunno). Oh and for the paint, used green, black, white, and hit it with a clear coat. Used two leaves and a laundry bag (any material with holes will do) to give it that snake skin look. Lemme know what you think! Also left a strip of the clear container so I can see how much fluid is in there. Also bedlined the cap with the new dupli color bed armor!

Got angry with it because I found that first gear grinds and tries to engage and disengage while its extremely hot. Also found that something under my hood is now whining, and my alignment is way off and that Walmart can not even balance a tire. Makes a 1000 mile round trip 10 times worse when all of this is going on.

I don't know about down in FL but a lot of gas stations in VA won't let you fill a container with gas that is not red in color. The same with diesel being green and kerosene being blue. There also may be some federal regulations involving this but I'm not sure. I did take the time to research some FL laws and did find this: http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/...s/0327.66.html
its illegal in FL to.
it has to be an approved gas container.

After getting some feedback on the mounting of my 5.11 LightforLife, I remounted it with some velcro.

@ Stryker: Since when are diesel containers green? I've only seen them come in yellow. And all the yellow ones I've seen are specifically marked "Diesel"...
