Finally got my major necessary work done for my XJ. My front end was popping whenever I turned and/or hit a bump and would do so until I accelerated to a faster speed. Turns out my spindle is stripped and needs to be re-threaded or replaced. Only the front threads were stripped though, the back ones were still good so as a temporary fix we just stuck in a longer bolt (good ole hillbilly rigging). My engine is still having starting/idle issues (yet to be resolved), I'm going to try some injector cleaner if that doesn't work then I am assuming it is my CPU and I probably will need a new starter to add onto that. Oh, and one more thing, my windshield is leaking in the passenger corner. I haven't been on here in a while so this is what has been done since I was gone.

Today did some checking with the ramp for flex and clearance with fenders and shock placement. After the D60 install looks like shocks compress without bottoming out and i have about 1 more inch of travel than the axle will go.

Not trying to raid the thread but where did you get the visor for above the windshield? I've been looking everywhere for one for my XJ but I can't find any. My dad tried to show me where he got his for his Ram but he had to run out for a fire call so he didn't get a chance to show me.

Its a Lund Moon Visor. I got it a couple years ago. You would need to find out who deals with Lund in your area probably an offroad shop or a camper shell dealer may know.

Did some more bondo work on my sub box in the back corner. Once it is done and painted I post pics, right now it looks super ghetto.

New Electric Cooling fan
hey all, got my 95 grand cherooke and just finished taking the clutch fan out and install my electric cooling fan, but one question to everyone what would be the best temp. setting on control to set the fan to come on? It runs great and cool while driving but If i am idle for extended periods of time i noticed the temp goes up to about 210-220 nothing hotter then that but just curious if anyone has any ideas? its a hayden electric fan in control that is adjustable w/relay. my jeep has the 5.2 in it. so any adivse would be greatly appreciated..

Replaced the tranny fluid pan gasket and changed the fluid in the hopes that that would solve the horrendous leak coming from the tranny. End result.....? No more drips! WooHoo!!
