Got Pirelli Scorpions, new U-joints and a new drive shaft. Should have it back tonight from the shop since I didn't have time to do it myself

On the driver's side the wheel, axle and spider gears, inside the carrier, all turn. The carrier and front drive shaft donnot. Now, when you screw things up by taking out the OEM spider gears and side gears and replace them with a "lunchbox" style locker, the carrier and front drive shaft turn right along with the driver's side front wheel while in 2HI, now. When I select 4HI or 4LO and lock my "homebrew" axle lock, the differential locker works as advertised. The front wheels remain locked together until going around a corner causes a difference in wheel speed. Then the locker unlocks allowing the turn to be made without tire skid.
ahh, ok. thanx for the clear up. im still learning stuff. lol

No worries, brother. That's why we're all here. All together, we're smarter than any one of us all alone. That is a sweet 91 you have, BTW!!

I just had an HID headlight kit installed on my XJ, they are 100x better than my stock sealed beams. I'm just gonna keep an eye out for some better housings. The projectors I got of ebay are okay, but there is so much more potential. It seems like they could be better focused to bring out their full potential, they have a pattern, but the pattern sort of glares at the top, it's hard to explain. Please, if somebody knows a really good housing to get that doesn't blind other drivers, please let me know!

Well, it's not so much what I did TO my XJ today, but rather what I did FOR my XJ today....
I cleared out my 10x10' storage unit today, and stuffed it all in a 5x7' storage unit...a savings of about $85 per month...

which I plan to spend on my XJ!

Tried to replace pinion and axle seals just find that the pinion bearing is shot...

The kicker is that I was doing this during a snow storm here in MI...

Put a new water pump in and a new belt. I hate closed cooling systems.
