try pulling some fuses and see if any are burned out, then replace as necessary. if that yeilds no results, replace the tail light switch above the brake pedal.
I didn't specify, sorry. Had a thread or two about it in the OEM Tech forum. The issue isn't my taillights, its the rear blinkers, I just generalized. Here's the short of it. Intermittent blinkers. Replaced Flasher Relay, fixed. Now, Right blinker, everythings fine. Left blinker, both rear flashers blink. Replaced multifunction switch. Left blinker, everythings fine now. Right blinker causing both rear flashers to blink. Cut off the 4-pin trailer harness, no change.

What I did to my XJ today (and yesterday),

Replaced the front axle right side ujoint, think I bent an ear on one of the shafts, as I have a vibration coming from up there now at speed. And installed my new nerf bars!

Also put window visors on the Compass.

My left blinker does the same thing. For now I've figured out that if I don't actually fully engage the turn signal arm but just hold it down part way that it wont flash both. I'm thinking bad ground but haven't torn it apart to check anything yet.

This! The front two were like $7.99 and the back was $13.99 all at Ross Dress for Less! Realtree ftw! And they fit really snug!

Oh and then almost ran into this big *** spider getting out the Jeep after work.
