Took me 2 hours. An hour of that was trying to make my illuminated switch work for this which I gave up (the only way to make it light up would send 12v through the wire to the ECM which would be bad)
30 minutes of it was organizing the wires under my dash

Basket Case
Modified dealer-option cargo basket (bought not built when purchased XJ in '99). This is the prototype jigged in-place on the ute bars for carrying to body shop to weld tomorrow morning. Will post pic after basket is all stitched/welded and the rooftop is loaded with cargo. I will then be able to carry my Hobie and use the basket for all the wet gear (or otherwise). Additional options included in this mod has drop-in sections (to close gaps) and the dimensions allow 90deg rotation/mount lengthwise on roof top.

Finally had the time to finish up installing a new power steering pump and flushed the power steering system. I greased everything that has a fitting and some things that didn’t plus I topped of the diff’s with 90W. Tomorrow I am pulling the driver’s seat because right now it’s a rocking chair!

Fixed my front diff breathing hose... front driveshaft had caught a piece of it. Wrapped the heat shield the hose had with HVAC chrome tape.

Went to pick up 6 light fixtures that were free on Craigslist. Two of the globes broke driving back. Didn't need those particular lights, but I should have taken the smoother riding GrandPArquis.
