by the sound of it he used simple green. It's good stuff, in fact I just grabbed a bottle of it today from autozone, as well as new motor mounts for both sides, a lower radiator hose and some hi-temp RTV. I also impulse bought a 12v electrical test light to replace my homemade one.
edit: never heard of mean green, see I learned something today.

Installed a new battery with higher CCA's but reversed terminals. Replaced neg/pos. and starter cables. Replaced cap/rotor. Ended up having to index distributor after installing it incorrectly...doh! Runs like a champ again.

drove it to school, came out to go home. dead battery....oh crap, so i called my buddy who has an f-250, he comes along side me and gives me a jump. so i stick it in reverse and go to pull out and BAM.....it stalled. so i called my mom cause my buddy went to work. and her little honda minivan got it started and running faster than the f-250 did.....and i was like......WTF?!?!?! so i went home and on the way home i realized i had ten minutes to get to work and it takes 20 mins to get there from my house so i said a 3-letter word whipped it around and started chug a lugging towards work, after work i went to my gf's house then i went home and played in the white powdery stuff.....hmmm what a good day.

Drove it to/from school, and then started pulling my gas tank. Got it drained and got the engine side lines disconnected. Finishing that bit up on sunday. What fun it is to work on that beastie. I still smell like gas.
