I may have the terminology wrong. When you turn your key to ACC, your fuel system primes. There's a check valve that's supposed to hold the fuel in the line (in the rail?), and it goes bad over time. Results: Extremely long crank times, or having to crank multiple times before it turns over. It happened to mine a couple weeks after I bought it

I believe it's an inline check valve, but I know it changed with the redesign. I think it's pre-98 and 98+, but I'm not sure. I know on the older models, there's a cheap easy fix, but on my '01 I can't do it. That's about the extent of my knowledge on the topic, but someone should be able to help more. I've just been cranking mine twice each time I get in.

Thanks! I didn't know a single thing about car audio when I started looking this morning, but 12 hours on shift with nothing else to do yields positive results! I think I did well in my decisions and in my cash total.
As for the lift, I still need to pay for the bastard parts, u-joints, and the little things. And I've decided I want 31s when it's done
