Picked up a 4x8x1/2 sheet of plywood, cut into 2x2 squares (cause I need lots of mulligans when working with power tools). False floor is making progress.

Put in new Timken hubs up front, new front axle seals, new steering gear box, removed the stock tie-rods and drag link and put in Rusty's HD steering set up, and than a front end alignment.

past couple of days have been busy. picked up a 91 XJ with a botched motor swap for free.

so far

  • pulled oil pan rebuilt oil pump
  • removed sludge (alot!)
  • removed several year old oil filter and cried
  • changed the oil for the first time in what appears to be a long time
  • installed 4.5" lift coils
  • removed rear flares and "clearanced" fenders
  • found out the ignition coil might be bad...since it wont start warm

Well, today, I almost buried my rig in a mud pit on my way home from football practice. Funny, 'cause I just got yelled at by my mom for taking two-tracks home, so I hope she don't notice that the entire left side is brown!

Im gonna temporarily downgrade my axles this weekend. With a set of 4 cylinder axles till I rebuild my 44s. I got no choice seeing as this is my only transportation. On the up side they have 4.10s!

Cleaned out the camping gear after a music festival. Found out why 70mph is kinda wobbly and it vibrates. I found a calculator and it's actually 81-83mph, I guess I was speeding . Haven't had an alignment either. Really explains the day I was going to pick up parts at JCR and I was running late. I guess I was doing 93mph.
