Hauled my gas tank off to the dumpster at work, trash guys wouldn't pick it up from my house
Played with my new CB. Truckers definitely have a different sense of humor.

Larger tank? Downhill all the way? Hybrid conversion? How do you do that? 200mi is a full tank for me, taking it down to the idiot light.

Drove to work and back, played with CB, ordered a new power steering pump cap (ugh) and sway bar discos. Showed my flex photos to a bunch of people who really don't care or understand (not you guys.)

Default Some times I just dont understand PO's

Lord have mercy. I cant believe some of the things people do to there rigs. I was attempting to wire up my XJ for a trailer plug when I noticed for some reason the exhaust was touching my shackle. The PO put the shackles on as well as the lift but didn't notice that the exhaust clamp was near worn through by the spring clamp bolt and the tailpipe was rubbing extensively on the shackle. Geez, So I repositioned the clamp and took my jack handle and persuaded the end of the exhaust away from the shackle. Problem solved, and all along I thought it was my cat rattling. I also noticed the PO also installed too long of bolts to hold the after market bumper on, which in turn rubbed severely on my shackle leaving a nice sized gouge. Stupid....thats all I can say. I have only put about 500 miles on it so I guess those bugs are still needing worked out from the PO's. I never did get the wiring figured out....I have a separate post titled, "Hardwiring for a trailer", if you can help with that it would be cool. Sorry for the long windedness.

well, was driving out to go see a movie with my girlfriend when at around 65mph on the freeway, it felt like it died for a second, then came back to life but sounded like the exhaust fell off it was so friggen loud in the cab. pulled off and into a gas station to find everything in the driveline to be okay..pulled off the rear diff plug to check the fluid since it was leaking a little..poured in the extra bottle, limped it to fleet farm and got some more fluid. 1/2 a bottle later it was over flowing. well, still making the noise so we didnt go see the movie and i didnt want to drive on it much so i parked at a hotel parking lot in the far corner without lights and got in the back with my gf and we did some stuff..for 5 hours..hah.

so somethings ****ed in the rear end..sounds like a bearing, mightve burned up the gears cause a little smoke came out the fill plug when i popped it off at the gas station and maybe more. probably gonna have to drive my dads truck for awhile til i can tear down the rear end on the jeep. oh well, goods out weighed the bads tonight...
