True. The thing is you can run 8lbs of boost without any trouble. Anything above that will require a piggy back computer and other things. You can get a good amount of power from just running 8lbs of boost.

For just adding some more horse power and torque plus MPG at low RPM's then 8lbs of boost is nice.

But your totally right. If you want to be running higher boost for more power. Its going to involve more than what i just listed

If I was going to do a super turbo xj I'd just swap in the engine from a '96 Twin Turbo 300zx. 3.0 V6 with 300hp at the crank. That engine is capable of 500+ hp with minor ( don't confuse minor with cheap lol ) modification.

its not just to run higher boost numbers. you will not make as much power at a certain boost level when compared to a motor setup with a real ignition/fuel control and a way to cool intake charge temps(intercooler of some sort or meth injection) on the same psi.

also, im not so sure on the better MPG's at lower rpms...the larger injectors seem to get rid of that without a real fuel system control

Im sorry I meant more MPG if you have a fuel system control. Your going to need to upgrade to larger injectors. Maybe not the 30Lb that most of the guys are running but atleast 25's or something. There will be a higher rate of flow if your running higher boost levels.

I forgot the intercooler stuff. And I agree. If it needs to continue to be discussed we should make a thread and continue.
