trying to replace the damn u joints but cant get the ****ing hub assembly off, damn rust and cotter pins wont come out. about to get just a new front axle and forget messing with this piece of ****.

yea they can be a PITA. when I did mine:

36mm axle nut off with an impact wrench
13mm(?) nuts off the hub
used a cold chisel around the edge of the hub till it popped off (biggest PITA)

hub bolts are not coming off, those ****ers are striped and rusted to hell. about to pull the grinder out and go to town on them

painted my door handles, mirrors and wipers today, got my subs all hooked up and cleaned her all up and she is looking damn fine !

going to get a new front axle tomorrow since my hub assembly is not coming off and i am done dealing with it. i'll end up setting the whole jeep on fire before i can get the damn hub assembly off

Use an air chisle in the gap where it bolts together after you pull the bolts first of course

So u have to use a 12 pt socket so it has enough grip to break those bolts loose without stripping the head off

i used a 12pt, then the socket broke lol
