I changed the oil (needed to switch to 5w30 for winter anyway) and drained the radiator to fill with coolant. The old oil was a tan color (not good). Then i cranked it to see how it was gonna do. So far so good, started right up, ran great, no water coming from the exhaust, great oil pressure, and got up to 210° before i shut it off. The only odd thing is it was smoking some, but that stopped after about ten minutes. I'm thinking the flush put too much pressure on something and forced water in but by unhooking the flush kit it stopped. And the smoke today was water left over in the exhaust. At least that's what i'm hoping. I'm gonna be watching this like a hawk for a long time.

Scratching my head as to why my CB Antenna spring base will not tighten up...
Guess I'll check it out again when it's daylight. Meanwhile, I took the element off until fixed.

Found out i should have primed before seam sealing my new floor pan ( said nothing about it on the can just clean surface and go) I ground off all the seam sealer i slapped on the other day.
Then i primed with etch primer (big no no )and then a layer of regular primer. re seam sealed only this time the sealer wont stick in some places. it wont stick to self etch primer and even tho I painted with regular primer first it still wont stick WTF
now I'm almost out of the crappy $40 3m brushable seam sealer and am going to have to start all over again

Worked on my rocker/sub-frame/pinchseam/bolt and weld metal there/ reinforcement thing I am doing.
Also ordered a lower quarter panel guard from JCR. I think I got last one for 97 up with cut fenders they are going to make. They are changing their line.

For some reason that sounds wrong.

Bout to get mine outta' the woods. A stick caught hold of the trans line & pulled it loose. No damage though just lost fluids. Thinking of doing skid plate out of some tin roofing.
