Put on a Hidden Hitch (got it from pull-a-part for $30). Well almost, one of those stupid keepers broke and I've got to get it off tomorrow so I can get the bumper back on.

Welded some, bolted some. Broke a bolt pulling out my drivers seat . **** happens. Lifted the carpet to make room to weld. Floors are rusty, but no holes in the drivers side yet.

Why did you take off the bumper?

My dad schooled me. Punched my shock bolts out in 30 minutes.
Was more relived they are out than embarassed that I was so thouroughly schooled.

ZJ- replaced terminals on battery cables, charged battery. Was at 70% charge.

XJ- ordered from the jy- air filter box (broken) , wiper arms (mangled), and washer reservoir/ pumps (missing) I'll call tomorrow and ask if they have an A/C louver for the passenger side (missing).

I replaced my front passenger side u joint in my 2000 jeep xj. That was loads of fun. I had to buy a few more tools (breaker bar) and I didn't have a press to get the old u joint out. Had to pound it out the old fashion way. Then I changed all my shocks which I thought would be easy.....but I wasn't. Rear shocks....oh boy. I had to go through the floor boards. And the tops of the front shocks kept spinning and I couldn't get a wrench on them to stop it. Good thing for my metal grinder. Problem solved after I cut the top right off. All in all I saved alot of money

To be able to access the inside of the "frame" rails to slide the three little retaining strips and bolts into each hole.
If there's an easier way I'm going to punch a hole in the wall.

Depends how rusty your bumper bolts are...
I just fished bolts through. Took 10 minutes.
