Had the shop remove and replace the driver's side front door hinges. The DPO had welded incorrectly and I could see sky between the door and the body. It did me no favors when it rained, I washed the Jeep, or driving on the highway. While they were at it, I had them remove and replace the driver's side front fender, too. The DPO tried to pound it out, but it was obvious he didn't do a good job. I replaced it with a JY fender I got for $25. If it's not raining tomorrow, I'm going to see if I can switch fender trim. Next stop: Full Body Paint Job!!!

Went pheasant shooting yesterday, at the end a friend of mine was being quite slow getting his kids, dog, gun etc in his Toyota that was blocking me in. I was sitting with the engine running.
He looks up and jokes "I'm sorry, are you waiting for something?"
"Yeah, someone dumped a fake 4x4 in front of me"
So he tries to come back with something and I see him read "JEEP" off the front of my truck.
He folds

Drove it to Sears, Lowes, Home Depot, True Value Hardware, O' Reilly's and Advanced Auto all in search of a tap to fix a boogered up thread in a Chevy Venture minivan caliper for a friend. Ended up buying a new caliper after all that driving because no one had the right size tap.

Put the snow tires on and new starter motor in daughters ZJ, seems to be some of that going around.
New rear brake shoes, drums, springs kit, outer bearings and races, axle seals on the XJ, 210000 km on that bearings set. Good to go again, love that hard brake pedal.
Drove thru blinding snow squalls and 2 - 4" of white slush friday morning, running around in shirt sleeves saturday. Winter is coming. The dog didn't puke this weekend but she ate some of the ZJ repair manual today.
