Don't let bopeep hear that "just a chick" talk
I just started having compounding trouble with my own XJ, so I'm trying to figure stuff out as well. Good luck to you. A lot of the people here are well-versed in these engines.

Well its an 87 maybe its just done and wants to be a rust bucket. It has 186000 miles but just can't figure it out. It has all new coil crank sensor and magnetic thing in distributor and no bad wires so I'm stuck

It looks like the one for 95 has 3 bolts where mine has 4. Take a look at the top of your compressor and see how many you have.

nonsense!!! SHES A WITCH BURN HER!!!! lol j/k

im sure if its turning over it will start. check if its gertting fuel at the schrader valve on the fuel rail and check to see if the plugs are getting spark. its either fuel or spark... then you can figure out whats goin on from there.
