Picked up an NP242 TC w/SYE & a Tom Woods driveshaft, both from a '98 ZJ w/85k.
The TC pee'd fluid all over the back of my XJ.
Nice try, buddy. That's what mud mats are for.
Gotta cut the shaft down ~6 inches to fit, but I got it & the TC for $225, so that's doable.
Dropping a new rear diff & the TC in as soon as my buddy with the shop & tools is available, hopefully before my 1600 mile trip next week.

Replaced tstat, radiator cap and tapped some cardboard to my rad. Its runs at correct temp for a change instead of at 150 degrees and leaking coolant everywhere I go. Also cleaned it out, fixed a mount for my 98+ center counsel swap and am ready for the 700 mile move home. Yay holiday season.

My gas milage has been a bit sucky as of late and every now and then I get a O2 sensor code pop up but have been putting off changing it. Today I went to the local junkyard to get a 99+ intake manifold for someone and when I looked in one XJ saw perfectly new wires heading down towards the bottom of the engine. New O2 sensor! OK maybe not "new" but it looks like they bought the O2 sensor and drove it for 2 days and then took the XJ to the junkyard it is that clean and perfect! Also had one obviously new fuel injector in it. Probably the Jeeps owner had a blown head gasket or worse and was just putting new parts on at random trying to solve his or her problem.
