it was used in the service XJ's. like if lights, winch, radio, ect are being used while in park it will help keep the alternator charging high enough.

Just plugged off the oil pressure sending unti position on the daughters ZJ. Was searching for that oil leak, filter, mount o-rings, pan or crank seal, where oh whrere?? Wow oil coming out the wires off back of the sending unit and dripping down on everything else. Guess the sender has internal rupture. Something to keep in mind if you have a similar problem in future. 1/8nptf pipe plug with a little teflon tape will do for now. As for the XJ, another Silverstar headlite, love the lite, hate the poor longevity, over 536000 km. Perhaps a trans lube and filter change over the holidays, napa can't find the part listing for an AW4? Maybe Santa will drop off a filter and gasket kit? Merry Christmas to all!
