Well it sounds like your system is mostly new, check out the temp sensors ( I think older models have 2, one on the back of the head and in the thermostat housing), if you have anything other than a MOPAR 195° t-stat in it now change it to one, check your overflow hose to see if it's clogged up, is your efan always on or does it just kick on at 215°? Thank you both!! I was thinking today that it couldnt be possible for coolant temp to drop 50-60 deg in seconds either! I have owned a LOT of vehicles and never seen anything like it. I REALLY appreciate the help. I will change the sensors and swap to a MOPAR T-stat (the one i have in there now is man. by Fail-Safe and upon overheat stays in the open position, still change it??) and hope for the best. Again, ty both for the insight. I LOVE my Jeep but it was beginning to frustrate me.

Also the clutch fan seems to work correctly, it is on when i first start up and leave so i know it engages. When exactly should it come on/shut off? and the E fan i havent checked yet, and its FREEZING here, so ill chk it in the am and let u know.

Failsafe t-stats suck. I put one in and it failed 2 weeks afterwards, leaving me with no heat and running 110 degrees.

Need a few opinions. Ill make my own as usual, but here is the deal. Im painting my lift and all aftermarket stuff bright green my front axle is semigloss black. Im about to paint my diff cover green. But Im really thinking about painting a green middle finger design. here is the pic. Ill be doing it without the needle(its my local tattoo shop)

I went through 3 or 4 failsafes before I went with the mopar 195° its great that they fail open but they still fail
