I battled it down the highway! 6 in lift 35s and no sway bars and lots of wind today! It's kinda funny watching the cars move a lane over to pass me lol can't wait to put a student driver sticker on it!

driving on the highway without sway bars is almost as stupid as driving drunk.

Lots of people say it's reckless to drive without them, but a fair number of members DD without them, and they have no problem. I haven't driven without them, so I can't comment from experience, but neither side is gonna win this fight. Can we just stop arguing?
Besides, I've been driving with a loose tie rod end for almost a year, and the Jeep has been out of alignment even longer. I'm sure that's no better...

I finished my trip today. 1250 total miles,ks to Denver co,to wyoming back to ks.only issue we had was she lost oil pressure and I thought the gauge was broke cause it was bouncing around. So I stopped and checked it and she was 41/2 quarts low. Good thing I stopped and checked it. Other than that we cruised at 74mph the whole trip. My baby did good

I had to take my sway bars off because my bushings were completely shot! But I have driven on the free way plenty of times and haven't had any problems it drives just as it did before...O_o it might be because I have 3 inches of lift with 33s? So not high enough? I am trying to go for a LCOG Jeep:P

Maybe it's like mine, and you have one bolt holding your caliper on?

My bushings are shot, but it's still on there. I'll make it pretty when I lift at the end of the month and put longer links on.

I see no problem with disconnecting the sway bar and driving on the road, but driving like that on the highway scares me. No matter how safe of a driver you are all it takes is a bad driver to cause to swerve and flip. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have posted that, I have no room to talk seeing as my tie rod ends are shot....Again -_-

I've drove my jeep for the last 5 years without a sway bar, it handles fine, guess its the experience or lack there of that you would consider it stupid

And to add to that, I hit ice doing 55 a couple years ago went sideways into the ditch but kept it on all fours, and broke a track bar driving down the highway, now that almost made me **** myself. But didn't wreck
