Replaced leaking front pinion seal- easy. Heard clicking noises from front end on sharp turns. Front U joints looked pretty bad. Took them out and found they were all corroded and frozen so I put new ones in- major pain.

Finished my install on Rocky Road Outfitters (RRO) quick disconnect Rear Mud Flaps.
Took 4 days to get here, ordered them online.

Pretty straight forward install, drill 2 holes on the forward section of the rear shackle box (1 is already there), and mount the bracket (on drivers side I had to remove the metal tank hose cover 4 bolts easy), and then the ole skool "Back Off" Flaps got installed on the brackets. Nice touch on the RRO design on the metal brackets.

And now the Popo here in WA state cannot say to flap it anymore.

did plugs wires cap rotor and then it was running on all 6 cylinders! it also is much easier to start now.

drove the xj further than I ever have today. trans shifts great and it did not overheat. the engine sounds like a diesel but it runs great.

Yesturday I finished up the poly bushings. Took off that ugly front skid plate. Trimmed the fenders a little. Put the new Steering stabalizer on. Oh yeah almost forgot. Got it even muddier than it was before.

adjusted the tow on the front wheels and then cleaned up the interior a little and greased the door innards(didn't help due to the doors being bent) and got more packed mud out of frame holes.

Over the past 3 days. Pulled the head hoping to replace the head gasket, heads cracked. Found a motor on craigslist in richmond, pulled it yesterday morning. Pulled mine yesterday after noon, then fed my help plenty of beer and burgers. I may get it back together this week.
