Dropped her off at the olds and gave her a quick hose down. Reverse gear is super sloppy in it now and it only takes a 10 min drive to turn the gearbox oil from red to brown. Also found out I have no rear brakes.

Instead...what did my jeep do for me today...
Driving down a road towards work, like an idiot forgot my hood was popped and suddenly got a windshield full of hood! Duck!! Thankfully I cut those vents last week so I could see enough to pull over.
Broke the plastic cowel cover, made some fresh dents but no broken windshield. Thank you Michelle!!!
Trip to pick n pull soon!

Worked on my front skid today. One of the previous owners added a chunk of angle iron along the bottom edge. Super strong but PACKED with dirt. The amount of crud that came out probably could have made Mars the same size as Earth...
Once I get it all cleaned up, painted, and primed, I'm going to look into packing that thing with caulking to keep the salty slush from building up in the winter.
Nice! Good to see Scouts is still around too lol.

i want one with an AX15 so it usually takes a bit longer to find one, but yes, i will find one, i am not in a huge rush. but the big pile of parts i have will be good incentive to keep looking

The welds on mine don't look like what I'd expect from the factory. Plus i can see in some spots there have been two coats of paint, on the inside there are little globs of metal that must have cooled off and stuck there before being painted. Weird though, maybe it is OEM after all lol

Got home today from three days of greens, blues, and one that should've been a black at Rausch Creek Offroad Park in Tremont, PA. Just updated my build thread with pictures of the damages, and action shots will be added when I get them. Got some great shots from our photographer, dukie564.

Discovered my axle seal is leaking so I checked my front differential fluid. Which was still plenty full, so... tally-ho.
