Today, well I drove it longer than I have ever driven ot before, ~180 miles. CEL on the whole time, but it didn't go into safe mode (rev limit mode) until I was back in the DC area. Most I droveit before was 80 miles which included a hour plus rest at 40 miles.
It was all because I thought I would do a quick back yard chase as storms moved in. However, the local storm pulsed out, and I went for the next one alittle further. Then that storm pulsed out and the pattern repeated until I was in Fredericksburg, VA area where a microburst occured. (blog summary of the chase: http://stormitecture.wordpress.com/ if anyone really is interested).
I doubt I got anymore hail dents today, hail to small. But at least now I think I am a little more confident inkeeping it if I can't sell it.

And don't mind if folks give you a hard times. New folks never get any respect on any forum. It just is how it is. Again, reading will give you an insight on how things tend to play out.
Again, welcome, and good luck.

Today, wellI did just help jump start a Montgomery County gov't vehicle with a dead battery with e Jeep.
Montgomery County really pisses on its lower paid employees. Make a high wage, new county vehicle every two or three years. Work in the blue collar or lower income areas....drive around in a POS with the CEL on all the time, bald tires, bad wiring, etc. basically dangerous. Sure....pay for a 70 million dollar conference center that produces no revue, but god for bid should they replace their fleet of aging vehicles for the safety of their employees.
