The water came all the way up to the door handle. Once we got two Super Duty's to pull me out the Jeep started right up!! All i needed to do was change the oil, because I got water in it.

Drove the wifes 01 XJ over to a my friends where the 89 project XJ is currently sitting. Checked out the lift parts looking for some identification clues as to the manufacturer. Got back home a did a little online research and found out it has a BDS 3" full leaf pack kit.

that front bumper looks like mine exept i hav the winchplate. the rear kinda does except for the ends they slant down and i think its too short for an xj. i got them of ebay, both for $550 bucks. mine are coming off too for sandblast and primer and repaint. i got in too much of a hurry first time.

All this talk of bumpers got me inspired to pull mine out of the basement and paint it... Rustoleum "Hammered" finish. Looks kinda cool, we'll see how long it lasts. Now, I just need a few hours to cut the front fenders and mount the sucka on. Maybe next weekend?

What did you use to make the cut? I was thinking of using a jig saw with a metal blade, but I'm afraid it will tear up the metal too much. Should I get an angle grinder with a cut-off wheel? Probably worth the $40 to $50 investment if it makes for a better cut...

Took off my rear air deflector since it was hanging on by a thread, washed her, and next weekend I'll get the rest of that double sided sticky tape off

Installed my new calipers, rotors, and pads after my old passenger caliper locked up. Also I ordered new front YJ lines since I been meaning to do that, should be ready for me to pick them up in the morning. I'm thinking about going ahead and installing my ZJ proportioning valve while I'm at it.
