Broke down and welded some 2x2 to the top of my leaf plates. Now i have solid bump stops. And about four inches of vertical up travel.

Guess if i want more ill have to order smaller bump stops.

Next ive gotta move gas tank, cut the hell out of the back. Tub, and move fender wells. Add an upper shock mount with adjustable mounts.

Then, maybe then i can finally measure, and order shocks for the rear

Thanks! My flag was almost straight up and down the first day. You can clearly see what the wind has done. Lol luckily it's my mount and not the flag pole. I have a home rigged mount until I get a real one so it's not a big deal that it's messed up cuz I only have like $8 spent on the mount lol

jsuk, i did the same thing a few months ago. the 2x2 was eating my bumpstops in the middle so i cut a piece of flat stock the width and length of the bumpstop and welded it to the top of the 2x2. works much better now. the stop contacts more of the rubber so it doesn't destroy it. looks good though.

Installed a new license plate light. Cost $14.99 at Autozone. 12 LED's so there wont be a question if that cop behind me can see my plate. Painted it black so it will blend in plus there was a lot of light coming off that was annoying so I painted it so only the light will go onto the plate. Didn't get a night picture though.

about a week ago i washed the xj. i spent about 2 hours washing and wiping and vacuuming the interior then my brother called and asked if we could go wheeling 'cause he just got some new mud tires and he wanted to test them out. 30 mins later, mud covered jeep. it was clean, under the mud.

Havent hit them yet so we will see what type of damage the 2x2 causes. Thinking about testing them out in an hour or so

Changed rear main seal and oil pan gasket. Also did the oil filter adapter mod. No more oil leaks. I hope.
