Yes it is a '99. I just used the jumper method in the connector down in the driver side kick panel. There is a thread here with detailed info. of this fix. Should be easy to find.

Heres the link to the thread on how to fix it https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/win...working-13287/

That's sad. But there are people that would rather pay the money than do it themselves. A buddy of mine is that way all of his vehicles. I tell him all the time that we can do it ourselves for a lot less, but he just doesn't want to mess with it.

Adjusted front sway bar quick disconnects and swapped out my stupid two gauge cluster for the full cluster.

That's silly. But I could see a shop charging $200 for it. Lol

I've read the jump method but I got a 2yo who's talking a liking to all the switches. I'd like to keep the child lock somehow. Thanks though.

Might have to breakdown and buy a new switch. $65 is the cheapest I've seem though.

I made my own light tabs then I drilled a hole at the top and bottom of the tube of the bull bar. The hardest part is getting the wire to come out the other hole. I wrapped the wire in electrical tape and caulking where the holes are to prevent rubbing down to bare wire. The wire runs under the bumper then through my headlight socket then to the inside where my switch is mounted
