Screwed it up though, hole in the firewall needed to be an inch to the left. Cut it using a 1/2 inch drill bit then did my best possible with a sawzaw. Forgot to take pics when the cowl grill was off. Used a K&N 3130 cone filter.

Just need to get a few clamps to be safe, the rubber fittings seem to be holding fine.

I was gonna piece one together but I wasnt coming up with any savings worth the hassle. you could run a tube off the stock air box but I like the clean look of the Spectre piece.

today...I tackled my failing headlight switch..the plug was partially melted, and some tabs on the switch were broken loose, and showed some melting signs as well. so I picked up 2 lighted switches from O-O-O-auto parts, as well as some wire, zip ties, and female spade connectors, (the heavy duty insulated kind). then after some degree of googling and searching this forum, i declared myself an expert in cherokee lights.
first i removed the panel trim, and the switch set on the left side of stering wheel. then one by one i cut the wires from the fail plug, and crimped connectors on em. the wires are simple enough, the large red and the other large single wire go to one switch(headlights), with a ground on the 3rd tab. then the 2 red striped wires go to the power side of the second switch, then you add the single wire that was at the **** end of the (old switch), to the blue wire set, and put the 3 into the acc side of the second new switch, and of course put a ground there on the ground tab. the black wire pair is for the dome light, and i left it hanging
now i have to fab a panel for the 2 switches...btw doing this the way i did, allows me to turn off ALL the lights on my jeep and keep the actuall headlights on..at night youre practically invisable from behind this way..nuf said.

I cant see how that sheet metal wont end up cutting that flex tube over time while your driving?

Switched half of my injectors back to stock, the other 3 had bad bottom o rings apparently even though from inspecting them they were fine. Going to finish it tomorrow but runs, just not as good

Had a moment to look at it from a distance. Maybe I'll sit in it for a minute later tonight when I get home.
Still waiting on shocks and other parts to come til I can report back here.

Some fancy BMW or Mercedes sports car was tailgating me today. I mean, REALLY close. I sped up a little, but he closed the gap. I sped up a little more; he did likewise. I saw a significant dip in the road and didn't bother to hit the brakes. The Jeep took it like a champ. I'm pretty sure the BMW/Mercedes bottomed out HARD. He ended up slowing down and keeping his distance after that.

Brake check, works every time for me. Now granted, I will ride someone if the are doing anywhere from 5 over the speed limit or under. But if someone is riding me and I am already 10-15 mph of you bet your *** you will be brake checked.
