Found my donor for the 2wd to 4wd build. Same year with an auto and its already got a 3" lift and drop brackets. Now just have to find the money to save it from salvage. Will be parting out whats left.

Fix a vac leak and discovered this...any takers? Happens below 30 and increases with speed even at a crawl..
Insaleed new speakers in all four doors and ran new wires to each speaker. Went and picked up a craigslist find..5 rubicon 16" wheels in excelent condition with BFG AT KO's in really great shape with lots of tread. Mounting them up tomorrow.

Ordered Falken 31x10.50x15 wildpeak all terrains. I hope they are decent enough to allow me to drive winter highways without white knuckles and pucker marks on my seat. .. and behave in the summer. Only bad thing I read is they don't sling sticky mud very well
Sprayed off the jeep real quick, every time it snows and melt the thing looks like poo.
Sprayed over my herculined quarters and rockers with 3m undercoating. Temporary fix, but after a few days drying and weathering it matches well.
Bumped some bone thugs n harmony, ha.

My 1989 XJ Mods
So I didn't do all these mods today. Been working on this on and off since this summer. I bought this 89 XJ in 1991. Put 180,000 miles on it including adventures on forest access roads in BC several summers. It was looking a little tired. So I added 1 ½ inch tapered shims on the rear axles to get the back end back up in the air. Installed new neoprene bump stops since the old rubber jobs were falling apart.
Repainted the silver trim using Automotive Touch Up. 1990 color.
Reglued the head liner.
Added a ceiling console I got at the junk yard. Installed my dome light where the remote door lock bulb was. This thing did not come with a dome light.
Installed Grand Cherokee visors. They have those cool pull outs when you don't want the sun blinding you from the side window.
Installed a Garmin GPS on the face plate below the clock. Tight fit on the inside because of clock circuit board.
Installed the H-4 LED head light package including new wiring pulling power off the battery and relays and fuses.
Installed new terminal style cables to the battery plus the fire wall ground and added a fender well ground.
Added a Morroso radiator cap and a recovery tank out of a Dodge 50 pickup and installed a heater valve and hoses from a 92 XJ. Got rid of that pressurized bottle.
Installed two relays in the kick panel in the door lock circuit so now the electric door locks work.
Installed a plug type connection on the windshield wash bottle.
