Installed a cheapie chinese HID kit(8k). Halo projectors and blue city lights. Local guy sold it to me all assembled so I had had to do was install on the JEEP. My camera makes the stock pictures look brighter than they are. One of the bulbs isn't up to par(passenger) but I will get that worked out in the next couple days. I plan on upgrading the projectors at a later time but this is a good start

Sounded like a dog fight breaking out in RR brake drum this morning. Had some noise on and off thru the weak but havoc had arrived. Suspected perhaps a pad delamination. Well good news was brakes and drum looked great. 1/4+ endplay of the driveshaft wasn't the norm. (D35 non-clip) Pulled the outer plate and bearing had gone bad, real bad. No damage to shaft and housing. Cleaned up well, new skf bearing and outer seal, cleanded and repacked the driver side for good measure. Little disappointed in the bearing, only a year (and 69K km) since last replaced. Perhaps some water intrusion led to early failure? Changing my maintenance plan to 4 - 6 months for future service on the rear bearings. Relubed adjusters and set shoes for good measure. Checked all the diff and Tcase fluids while up in the air, needed a little rear dif and t case top up. Guess with that done ahead of plan, the saturday plan can change to Christmas decor and the honeydew list. The Peep ran sweet and smooth on a two hour run this evening, 595000+ and strong again.

It's the first decent rainstorm of the season around here. I was driving up slightly hilly street and stopped at the light. When it turned green, I started to go forward. I heard the engine rev higher, but the speed just wasn't there. I was thinking the tranny died. Then I thought, "what if I'm just spinning/slipping on the wet asphalt?" I put her in full-time 4wd-hi. No problems after that. For me, anyway. People were sliding off the freeway and playing bumper cars all evening.

I bought a Gabriel from my local parts store for $29.99 that I haven't had any problems out of yet and it looks identical to the RC.
