Headed to the junkyard. I just found a trailer wiring harness, a new taillight pigtails, extendable sun visors, leather seats, a new console lid, and a spare center dash trim (to paint).. all under 200 bucks. 3 grand Cherokees, an 88, and a 98 at one small yard. I'm stoked

After a lot of kicking, screaming, cussing and about $50 worth of tools and 3 trips to the hardware store..... I finally got all 4 shocks replaced. The old ones don't even move any more. Compress and rebound are two words they know nothing of. Best part is not a single bolt on the rear shocks broke. But one got rounded off and replaced.

Front driver side brake locked up yesterday on my XJ so last night I picked up a new caliper for $25 and installed it. It took longer to take the front tire off than it did to install and bleed the new caliper. Today my XJ started to leak coolant bad from the radiator cap, so I guess the project continues...

I can assume these don't come with the shocks? Can someone tell me exactly what nuts & bolts I should buy before trying to replace the front and rear shocks? I like to assume the worst and replace all rusty cheap parts with brand new.

Assuming you break all the bolts front and rear, you'd need (8) 5/16"x1½" long bolts with a lock washer, 2 flat washers, and a nut for each bolt.
I drink a lot of fine San Francisco Bay French Roast Coffee, so I installed this yesterday!
