Ehh not really. Of course it won't melt to the point of dripping off, but heat stress and vibrations will kill solder joints. Nothing's going to be able to separate a mechanical joint like a crimp. The best way to go is to solder AND crimp the connections - then you get a good electrical connection as well as a very high resistance to heat stress and vibration. This is how 5-90 makes his cables.

So does that gun metalish blue

But when I seen a "metalic copper" (pretty sure that's what they called it) XJ on craigslist I had to seek a change of pants.

Well once again. If you have heat high enough to even effect the solder joint, there are much more issues. And by then you have burnt coating on the wires. Causing shorts and many other fun hard to track down issues.

Regardless of how 5-90 does anything I will stick with a solid solder joint and good heat shrink. Waterproof. Secure. No resistance.

Not sure of the paint code. But the copper color is called " amber fire" by Chrysler. Used in 01 only but a lot of people resprayed with it. Might be code PV3

not originally orange if you'd notice - they didn't come with that option in those years.

However if it's a jeep cherokee color, 2001 had a color called "Amber Fire Pearl - PV3" that's very similar

And the best color in my opinion. I got a chili pepper red but love the amber fire pearl

Default Giraffe Skin Headliner

It's not as cheesy as it looks. I installed it in about 5 hours.
