Sounds like I'm getting and keeping a 60. Short while lifting or using it to winch?

Left the interior lights on the other day. Just put the overhead consol in other day so I had four lights draining the battery for 8 hours. Turned over on less than 7.5 volts, had to tap the accelerator to persuade the fuel system to kick on. Diehard Platinums are nice. It was also 20 degrees that day

lol, Diehard. I remember the last time my Dad bought on of them.

We ended up stranded in the mountains because the Diehard battery in our Durango decided to crack wide open. My parents missed a day of work, but it was a nice extension to our camping trip.

Lame. I know the platinums are rebadged Odyssey batteries. So far I am impressed. I most certainly damaged the cells by discharging it that much... but 4 year free replace and 4 year prorated.

The one battery I don't mind paying up for is the Interstate MegaTron 2 and that's what I have in my 2000 XJ. Put it in this past fall along with a new alternator because the old alternators internal voltage reg started pooping its pants one day but amazingly I lost voltage output from the alternator 35 miles from home and I was able to get home on the Interstate battery, stop at home then goto autoparts store then back home. So I'm a lifer to Interstate Batteries

I like Interstate's batteries. My Ranger's got one, that thing refused to die. I left the Ranger sitting for a little over a month, in winter, and she fired right up.

That's cool a month in the cold of winter is a long time for a battery to sit dormant. +1 for interstate. Im going to see how long my lasts but I do a lot of long hours of driving in my XJ and being stranded is not an option I like so every day I pop the hood and do a little pre ride check.

i hated having to get rid of my interstate battery but when i got a new batt last fall the interstate that the po had put in was several years old. (i thought it was new but i later found the receipt)

today i scrubbed down the exterior of the jeep and cleaned the windows inside and out.
