Drove through town for about 30 minutes of stop and go with heater and electric fan off. Just the mech fan without a shroud.
Thats what mine runs at with the 180 in it. But in phx with 115*+ temps in the summer that 180 stat will be at about 210 all day long.

I might keep the 180 just cause how hot it gets here in the summer and since my ac works and I do use it on those summer days so I want my cooling system working its best. Next on list new lower radiator hose, 91+ open system radiator, replace or repair the trans cooler, install a overflow bottle out of a 91+ xj and switch over to electric fans.

Had an extra IAT and a 1/2" drill bit, so I relocated my IAT to the air box...because I could. I hear I might get 15hp out of it! /sarcasm

I drove 7 hours from Carson city to home 380 miles and it took one and a half tanks of gas and 4 quarts of motor oil. The cel came on in the last 40 miles so either I killed the jeep or the light just came back on from previous p0300 and p0301 from the misfire that comes and goes during the past year and a half. My rear hatch is now soaked in oil, along with the entire undercarriage. My oil cap is now a ***** to get off because it's broken somehow. The jeep was laying oil puddles as big as a baseball at every stop even if just for a second. The entire trip I never let up and never went more than 10 miles per hour below the speed limit even when on long, steep, hill climbs. I beat my jeep like it owed me money and it didn't leave me stranded. tomorrow I get to fix whatever is leaking and hope to also work some on the diagnosis of the misfire if that was what caused the cel. I love that jeep and its a pos but I will never sell it.

I got some cloth seats from a 97 over the weekend and have spent about five hours cleaning the buckets and they cleaned up really nice I still have to clean the rear. But I am glad to see the electric leather monstrosities go away. I can now move the seats all the way back so my knees are not touching the dash when I drive and they sit lower so my head doesn't rub the roof either.

Added a 2" spacer and shackle lift to my brothers 3" existing lift and he was so excited to drive it he forgot to tighten his lug nuts lol! The tire flew ahead and hit a garbage can, extra points?

You guys realize the 180 degree thermostat does sweet **** all except make it run too cold in the winter and open you up to cheap aftermarket parts failure right? You aren't changing the temp the fans come on at, you aren't changing the fan's ability to move air, and you aren't changing the radiators heat capacity. If you want upgraded cooling ability get a 3-row rad and better fans. There's a reason the OEM tstat doesn't open til 195

Started on my cb mount. I had these adjustable rods in my tool box. Welded two of them together. I will drop down one on either side for the cb to mount to.

Buddy had this happen on the Autobahn in his '94 BMW. Lugs sheered, and his wheel passed him when he was doing 105mph. Thing was mangled, and they had to replace 500ft of guard rail. He walked away with scraped knuckles.
