That seems a little low for a 4.0l engine. Considering the factory fan comes on around 218*. It seems like if you were in the middle of summer youd always have atleast 2 fans running puttin a huge strain on the electrical system. Just my .02

pulled this nifty soundbar out of a junkyard jeep, haven't seen anyone else install a 97+ soundbar(probably because they look a lot worse than the earlier ones), but here's mine installed:
I'm not sure what the scuffing around the light is, but I can't see that when i'm in the jeep.

Im not doubting their design. Im just saying IMO the fans kicking on that low means youd always have a fan on even when cruising down the road in the winter at operating tempature. With a fan always on like that your robbin you alternator of power. Especially if you ever need to winch out or have lights it wouls juat not be enough alt output to handle that well. But it deffinatly looks like a sweet fan set up!

I've got riddler front and rear. Very solid and the front cover clears my IRO double shear trackbar. Plus it is one of the cheaper companies for diff covers.
I've got 2 96 sound bars in mine. Installed component focal is130's in the front with 75w RMS and 125w each peak power. Definitely takes some getting used to!

I don't live in very hot climate but it get's pretty hot in the NYC area and there's a lot of stop and go traffic all the time. None of my XJ's have ever had MAJOR cooling issues on trails or bumper to bumper traffic. I sometimes wonder how many people run a weak coolant mix but spend tons of time and money trying to make a vehicle run cooler..

If the clutch is good than it should only be loud when it needs to be.
I wanted to run dual electric (or maybe even 3) but its hard to beat the reliability of the mech fan. Short of self destructing it will always work. I don't want more potential electric problems. I'd hate to be 100 miles from home on a 90 degree day with no fans.
If the cooling system as a whole is up to par. You shouldn't need hi-flow pumps, tri-electric fans and 3 row rads. Unless you're running desert races.

It is a toss up for sure. I personally dont mind the first 2 issues. I would look for other boosts before removing the fan. But also like the other poster said. I never had an issue in ny traffic yet so thats also another reason I ain't stressing it so much
