If you really have a cooling problem in the heat use Water Wetter. It will drop your running temp by 10-15*. I ran it in my MK5 before I sold it, sucked in the winter time cuz the car would never get warm but it rocks in the summer.

With a fan always on like that your robbin you alternator of power. Especially if you ever need to winch out or have lights it wouls juat not be enough alt output to handle that well. Spraying shock mount hardware with PB and tinkering with torque trying to get a close calculation of mpg

I've considered a ZJ clutch just for that... and I have no cooling issues.

Salad, the ZJ clutch is supposedly louder, but I didn't notice a difference in noise. I noticed a huge difference in cooling ability compared to my tired old MJ clutch.
I like it when I have the AC on in the summer. Sounds awesome on a 5-speed lol

Your mechanical fan isn't going to turn very well once it's sunken to the hub lol. What would happen is really work the clutch and put a LOT of drag on the motor if you're in that deep. Any decent electrical fan should have some level of water proofing. In less water, the clutch will stay engaged and the blades get water everywhere. The big advantage of an all-electrical setup and water fording is that you can turn em off and reduce the amount getting sprayed all over your TPS.
I've considered a ZJ clutch just for that... and I have no cooling issues.

I hate to tell you man but mechanical fans are becoming obsolete in new vehicles they are thing of the past just take a look at all front wheel drive cars they don't have any mechanical fans same thing with foreign cars a lot of them don't have any mechanical fans I know my BMW don't and it an 03
