I am new here and just thought I would get some opinions. I have an 01 sport and I am getting a 2 inch rubicon express budget lift with new 30x9.50x15 firestone destination AT's. A little boring but I use it as a dd. Any opinions on the combination?

Yes. Don't get that. Go to the picture sesctions and look at Jeeps you wish you had...then see what height/tire size it is and if that's practical for you. I didn't mod a Jeep for 8 years figuring out my build. Now I'm getting started.

It will also let you decide how you want to build it. Adventure Jeep? Daily driver poser mobile? Killer rock machine not street legal?

That's my 2c
ps: I wanted 3'' when I got into it and waited till I saved enough for 5.5" long arms. Go for quality as well

What a time I had today installing shocks on all four corners of my XJ. Fronts went fairly smooth. It is when I went to take off the rears. All four bolts at the top of the shock sheared off at the head. What was suppost to be an hour long project turned out to be 4. Had to drill out the old bolts and re-tap the threads on the nuts!

I just did the Rough Country 2 inch lift on Tuesday. Fairly straight forward and adds just enough lift to notice, but is nice for a DD. Make sure you check and make sure all your parts are there before tearing into it. RC sent me 3 rear shocks and 1 front shock. I needed to wait till they shipped them to me today and install them. I went with the goodyear duratrac 235/75 tire. I wanted an agressive tread with good snow and wet condition traction since I live in MI. This tire seems to have very good ratings. Only problem is they do not make a 30X9.50, so I went a little smaller. Should still be good.

Once again went to the bone-yard to find something simple (lens cover) but came back with something else... Picked up the front Skid plate, 4 tow hooks, and the mounting braces all for $40. Maybe, tomorrow, I can get them painted and installed before my GF figures out what I am doing...
