Rusty's, they are warrantied for 2 years. I have to say they've been very helpful so far. Fast responses and they told me right away it was covered. Can't really blame them for this failure. It's a bad piece of steel, I don't think you can tell when assembling a pack.

Wow dude, you cut all that out with just a measly razor? That's hardcore!
I'm impressed that you left the front seat mount in. Rather - that it still has enough strength to remain in place.
Nice. How's the rocker backing plate?

I'm thinking about cutting it out and making a new one out of some 18g steel.
The backing plate. Not so hot. I threw a few beads where there was metal too. But my plan is to get the rockers burned in from plugging holes from the top, the floor will meet the inner facing side of the rocker and be burned together. In my mind basically recreating that section but way stronger. Rockers are 3/16ths and floor will be 1/8sheet. Thicker then oem. Plus im going to do frame stiffeners and run tube supports off the stiffeners to the rockers. All tied together I'm pretty sure it will still be at least 10x stronger then what it was before.

I have been thinking about this for weeks, finally did a flex text on my XJ today since I had the Deere out. Pretty impressed with the flex I got with stock suspension and sway bars hooked up. Looking forward to doing this after the lift kit.
