I know why it's doing it, the loop that goes over the axle is banging into the unibody because the pipe is too long and misaligned, i have to cut about an inch off the muffler end but my sawzall took a ****. For now i just beat it with a big ****ing hammer.
I'd do the same thing

Why not cut it off and make a dump or side exit?
Oh BTW I just realized I'm an air filter away from having my Jeep going
But today I plan to walk to Napa and get some light blue paint if it ain't to cold old

Nah won't work, the pipe would have to be a dead turn right off the muffler. I don't wanna end up getting some half collapsed POS pipe and loose power due to it. All i gotta do to make the tailpipe work is take that little extension off and chop an inch or two off it.

mine was much too loud with a FM Super 40 and a turndown. Resonance gave me a headache after 5-10 minutes of driving.

Why don't you see more XJ's with just a turn down after the muffler? That's my plan when I get around to the exhaust (with a flowmaster). I've terminated with a turn down on a lot of my vehicles under the cab and never had a problem with fumes. As for the noise? Thats what I was going for...

Bought it last night. Today i did cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter, oil and filter change, and a real good interior cleaning. Gonna have it inspected tomorrow. Hope it passes.
