White leds!!! With a Wrangler gauge cluster. Plug and play
I really like the white LEDs! I'm set on them now. I need to find a write up for em. Can't be too hard I suppose. Where did you buy the LEDs?

Tried to get the transmission mount off again after a week of PB Blasting it every day. Still won't budge. Gonna call the local XJ shop tomorrow to get a quote.

Here's a write up, non technical.

1) go to superbright leds . Com
2) search for your year 97+ xj.
3) open amazon . Com and copy and paste the bulb number for the dash lights from superbrite to amazon
4) choose the ones you want to order. I picked white and from a US seller.
5) go to eBay, search for 97+ Wrangler gauge cluster. Order (highly reccomend this step) its an exact fit as the xj)
6) install bulbs on your new cluster
7) plug cluster into jeep

There's a thread all about led dash lights, I would look it all up for you but I'm on the mobile app.

The Wrangler cluster has white needles and red and blue accents. It pops nicely with the white and the brightness never bothers me at night. Note you cannot dim led lights. But on mine I can turn them all the way off without turning my lights off. Kinda cool u can go all like dark night up in there....lol...oh yeah the led sockets are polarized, meaning there's a positive and negative, so when you pull them out of the cluster to change bulbs do them ONE AT A TIME And keep the socket in the same position it came out. If you put them in backwords they will not work! Next always order an extra. Sometimes you'll get a bad bulb that will cause you to blow a fuse... Many times...this do ONE bulb at a TIME and check by plugging into cluster.

Another note the Wrangler cluster has cooler turn Signal lights, seatbelt light, and awesome 4x4 indicators.

Ummm OH YEAH! Please do the Led dome light also. One of my best mods. I have leds in all 3 of the front dome light/ map lights. Huge improvement at night.

So remember guys superbrite leds. Com for the list of bulbs

Amazon from us seller or eBay,

Cluster from eBay or junk yard. I choose eBay.

Easy project. Great looks.

Now someone do a real write up with all the correct stuff!!!!!!!

so after having my Cherokee for about three years now, and having to go ask the without any fm stations on my head unit, I've finally fixed the problem. I can only describe the feeling as winning an olympic gold medalist must feel. so much work trying to figure it out and it turns or to be such a simple fix...

Lol I was actually thinking about it when I was looking at different paints. Cause my lil girl loves chalk. And drawing. But the chalk board paint was a little higher cost than the flat black. they look about the same. And she can draw til her heart is content. And water just takes it right off. But it was funny getting looks at stores when I had pink chalk everywhere.

@basslicks. I'll snap pics instead of clear coating it lol.

Search Amazon for "CL062e" for an $11 mirror that drops in the hinge. A nut and bolt hold it on nicely, and it doesn't look bad.

No problem. As you can see, my Comanche and my89xj's Barney both use them. Some other members recommend them as well. Nice chrome finish, but would be easy to scuff and paint black.
