But the XJ Cluster is ugly and looks BAD with LED lights.... Because the needles are orange/ faded... And the color orange is also the accent color....
The Wrangler cluster is way better lookin by far!!! I had a xj cluster with leds first and it was ugly. Swapped to Wrangler it was awesome... All I did was write my milage down in my manual and then subtract original miles with new miles add that amount to the origional miles = current miles.

But I'm not selling my xj so I don't care what it says...

Do the yj cluster swap... Its WAY better. The bulbs are all the same, the only difference is the face. You can take bulbs out of your xj one if one is burned out on the yj one.

With yj you get, cool blinker shapes
Cool 4x4 light shapes
Cool accent colors on the face
White needles
Better brake and seatbelt light

Spend $20 bucks on eBay guys its worth it. I PROMISE

Picked up a 2wd beam to switch in while i locate an hp30. Lp30 needs work and id rather not put money into an lp.

Where in Michigan are you?

as far as what i did to my xj today, measured for the custom switch plate(ashtray mounted) for my 97+ center console.

Its under both those kick plates by your knees. Kind of awkward to find but crawling under with a flashlight will show it. It's a small metal button
