Thank god someone invented the cotter pin!! Me and my buddy beans actually seen a lil stock Xj in town camo want talk to the dude it's a lil 16 year old his dad gave him this jeep as his first vechile told us the bolts in the block broke off. So we was like so what's holding it on. The dudes dad put chain with shackels and a lil binder on it to hold it in place. We wanted to find his dad and beat him. For rear how does someone give his son as a first vechile a unsafe vechile like this. We thought to our selfs if that chain just decides to stop holding he's screwed. What a pos dad

So yesterday I peeled the rubber trim off the lower quarters (96 classic). Found some pretty bad rust under it on the front passenger door. Gonna have to do some body work, but was planning on bedlining the lower quarters anyways so that should help conceal my shoddy body work...

Installed a ZJ tie rod set up, TJ sway bar links, new sway bar bushings, and BDS shocks. Also transferred the radiator, front skid plate, and front recovery points from the old (now donor) Jeep.

Picked up a used stainless steel Magnaflow muffler for $35 off of Craigslist. It dumps right after the muffler. If I can't stand the interior noise, I can always extend it out to the side.

Wish I could fix the rear bumper on my comanche. Is your comanche a 5 speed? I love the gas mileage mine gets. I have to be careful though cause the gauge won't go below quarter tank. I've never got 160+ out of 10 gallons ($40) with my cherokee. Still waiting for it to act like its low on gas to check mileage. What I did to my comanche was last night I raced a 1/2 ton Chevy and smoked it. Then I had to switch to my cherokee to haul the friends around. Cherokee is slow compared to the comanche. The same Chevy smokes my xj.

Did a fresh oil change with Mobil 1 HM 10-30 and a mopar filter. New windshield wipers. Adjusted the steering wheel and gave the jeep a hose down for any mud stuck in the frame rails.

Pulled the rear suspension and axle out of the part out jeep. Also took off the rear bumper and hitch with nuts strips.

Started putting the suspension on a friends new XJ(xjclassicxj).

Got my new jeep ready to be driven tomorrow with my tools and floor mats.
