Painted my diff covers over the weekend. I went body color on the Covers and Black on the Ballistic Skull. Instead of clearing over them, I tried some reflective spray paint. I thought it would add a cool effect, but either the paint doesn't work or I didn't apply enough coats. Either way I don't think I got the look I was after. Maybe it will look different under different light. In the photo it just looks like dust.
looks good to me, i wouldn't be mad at it if my Jeep had those.

That's a lot more reasonable. I saw the automotive section of some newspaper reviewing a 2012 Chevy 4x4 with a Duramax and 1000 lbs of chrome priced at $74k. WTF lol I mean the specs are incredible, but that kind of cash can be spent a LOT better... lol

Went to the junk yard and FINALLY found a cap that fits the coolant reservoir correctly on my 93ZJ limited...off a 95 ZJ. None of the new ones from auto part stores fit right (even though they look exactly the same)--they screw on a few turns then pop off. None of the old ones from the junk yard fit right either--same deal, sping on then pop off. The one I'm replacing stayed on pretty tight, however it is cracked on the inside, and I'm not waiting for the crack to work all the way through...
Also, thank you chrysler for changing the caps all the time so it's almost impossible to get something that fits...little caps...flip tops... and this big cap that finally fit my rig
(next to it is the temp fix, a cap off a Vovlo 940 Turbo--fits well, just a bit tight, I read that tip here)
Also since Cherokees have the wimpiest wiper arms ever, especially since you figure they'll have to handle mud, got some "Wiper Snuggies." Saw them at a truck stop last weekend, but wasn't sure if they were a scam or what. Read up on them at home and everyone had good results with them. Got them at Napa, $4 for a pair, had to wait overnight for the warehouse to send them. Totally worth it, IMO. no more flapping wiper blades at highway speed. (they are not on amazon which surprised me. Not avail from Orielly either) Just in time for the END of rainy season ha.
Rain-X works too, but I also rain-x my Acura which doesn't have sh---- wiper arms and comparing both with Rain -X...cherokee wiper arms still suck.
closeup:
I'm sure you could rig something up like these if you had parts around. but I didn't, nor did I have any black plasticote to cover them with.
Finally ...found a fellow Up Country at the junk yard and swiped this sun-burned static sticker off of it--still sticks even though it's a bit wrecked

Built and installed some cup holders today. Made them out of left over kydex I had laying around and some other hardware I had in the garage.
^^ this one is easiest to make. It flexes a little when you out a larger bottle in it. It's a little loose for a normal soda can.
The tan one has a bottom on it for putting change or anything like that. Has very little flex but feels a bit stronger.
