2 Ply sidewalls are why I didn't get Duratracs.

33X12.50R15 GYR WRANGLER DURATRAC OWL $172.96

I'm almost certain I'm gonna stick with the Swampers though.

But why? Is it a dd? You realize how soft the rubber is in those tires, they won't last a year daily driven... To each his own I suppose. I wouldn't let them touch my xj unless it was a trail only rig.

Off road only. On highway 200 miles a year. Trailer it to rides. Mine have almost 25k on them and still atleast 30% left.

They do offer a 3 ply duratrac in some of the metric sizes, however that version is the price (if not more) of a M/T. I considered the 3 ply duratrac, but went with the DC mud terrains for near the same price.

Literally or figuratively? Some say a jeep ends up costing an arm and a leg, but hopefully you didn't really loose a finger.

Literally. Got my finger smashed between the floorpan and the wrench w/cheater bar my friend was using to break loose the front leaf bolt (I was holding the wrench on the bolt). Smashed it so hard the side of my fingernail pushed down into my finger and cut through 1/3 of my fingertip on the side. Its still attached but is pretty chewed up. There's a pic in my build thread.

The wife wants me to get it checked out, but unless it starts changing colors I'm not too worried about it.

If it's a clean cut, it should heal fine
