Before work this morning, I measured for bumpstops and ordered some hockey pucks for the front. Then I drove it to work. Between the very light wheeling I did last night and driving it on the street, I'm fairly impressed. Power isnt as bad as I thought it would be with the 33's on stock gears (factory 4.10's are nice, even with the little 2.5). And I've only managed to get the tires to rub a little bit once. Not bad at all for 1.5" lift, cut and fold fenders, and 33" tires. Still has decent flex too.
Lol my goal is to eventually have a TBI 350 V8 and AX-15 in this Jeep...but I'm happy with the 2.5 until it dies. Its at 243,xxx miles and still going strong, I cant complain It may not get me anywhere too quick, but it always gets me there, that's all that matters to me

Ballistic Fabrication. Real nice, super heavy duty. The P.O. kinda abused them, but they held up really well. The two tabs on the front were welded on to mount the Hydro Assist to. I could have chopped them off, but thought I could mount the stabilizer there until I take the plung on Hydro Assisted Steering. They were originally black, but i blasted them and ground off any weld splatter and sharp edges. Went Body color on the Diff Covers and painted the skulls black to make them 'pop' a bit more than just everything in one color.

Thing is you could buy an XJ, lift it, reinforce it (or tube frame it), buy an LS2, and do the swap...for the price of a new Rubicon.
