Lol I know you weren't. I've gotten used to the odd looks and comments from my wheeling buddies. But they do vent out a ton of heat from the engine compartment, and now I've got external defrosters lol

And yeah, for now they're mounted with rivets, and rtv to seal them around the edges. Id weld em on, but my house ia so old there isn't a single circuit in the house that can handle the draw of my welder. So until I go over a buddies/install another circuit its the best I could do.
Also I'm going to be using the metal scraps cut out of the hood to put a slant on the front at some point, so they don't look completely ridiculous lol

Hood was stuck shut the other day. Pulled the release cable but it had no tension. Cable handle was still good and the cable was still attached to the handle. I figured that it had snapped somewhere up along the end because I could hear something moving under the hood. Pulled the head lights out and got to the two bolts holding the catch springs down. Popped the hood open and found that the cable bracket bolted to the hood had no more hardware attached to it and was swinging freely. Remounted it and put everything back together and now it works better than when I first bought it.
