Ball Joints
Just learned to change the Ball Joints Top and bottom. A few pointers - Lots of penetrating oil the night before will help emmensely. I couldn't get the hubs to release at first so I put the jeeps stock jack between the axle (right by the shock base mount) and the only exposed hub area the rear of the knuckle. The jack didn't have enough torque to pop em so I turned the jeep on and turned the wheel. They pop right out. Um... the top ball joints dont like to go in straight so wrap the base of the joint in 1 layer of thread tape before attempting to set them and they are forced to balance. +/- Tip - Dont ever try to thread ball joints twice most won't let you back the nut off without destroying the threads (School of Hard Rocks)

Is this the one you're referring to?
All you guys and your 12's and mad wattage.. I "downgraded" my stereo from my two clarion SVC 10's to my one alpine DVC s-type 10". Left my 250rms amp in.. Went from taking up about 1/2 my cargo space to 1/5th of it. Had to rearrange the gear afterwards but worth it. And it still bumps when I turn it up. That and washed it. Yeah, that's right.. I love mud, but I hate road grit, and the XJ was covered in it..
I did get the remote amp control but usually use the deck to control bass. I miss the cargo space but don't want to buy or build a cubby box.
Any more power and my hearing would suffer. It gets comfortably loud as it is with all genres.
