we always towed a 20 foot master craft behind our XJ for years, pulled the 3500lbs fine I you can set up the weight dist right. Oh, and we used it for pulling a commercial diesel wood chipper around too, that was fun having a pintle hitch on the ol Jeep lol.
XJs tow just fine, pull more than any liberty or new Cherokee could.

Default They have arrived!

My new shocks arrived to go along with my S10 bastard pack lift!!
Saved a bunch too! 4 WHEEL PARTS had 10% off on top of the sale price of the shock, then I found a $10 off coupon code, and then on top of that there is a $35 rebate I'll be sending in!!

IIRC I deliberately upgraded to a 12' for the surge brakes. Saved my *** (and the XJ's front end) in Toronto

the 5x10 had surge brakes also. I'm surprised they let you rent a 6x12

Got the rear end up today. Front sits at 5-5.5" rear at 4-4.5" I like it alot. I strongly dislike when a jeep is "level" and the *** end is up in the air.

The trailer pulled fine. A little heavy. Don't usually pull it. Borrowed it from a friend to move furniture. The heavier the load. It just got harder to pull it. But didn't bounce around or anything. Did a good job.

Got the trussed D44 installed in the Comanche, and I have rear brakes for the first time in months. In the process, we realized that I got bad info, and my driveshaft needs to be shortened. Also, I learned that D44s are heavy, and 'on my fingertip' is not the best place to drop them.

Bought a Little Guy travel trailer. I just wasn't happy with the liftgate tent and I still had to break camp if I wanted to go out and explore. Hope I have as much fun as I think I'll have! Picking it up tomorrow. Might even take it to Mexico this weekend.
